Podcasts in General

Podcasting is essentially Tivo-radio. Of course, you’ve been able to download MP3 files from the net for years, but what makes a Podcast special is the use of RSS feeds to “push” content to your computer transparently, requireing no effort on your part. You subscribe to Podcasts using aggregators, or “podcatchers,” that constantly check for updates. When one is detected, it is downloaded to your computer, or directly to your portable MP3 player, waiting for you to simply hit the play button.

Popular aggregators include iPodder, iPodderX, and the latest version of iTunes.
